A wonderfully restored stone farmhouse with a beautiful swimming pool set amongst 4 acres of stunning gardens, which have incredible views across the surrounding countryside.

The property consists of:

2 semi-detached fully equipped self catering gîtes.
These gites can be rented for sleeping 2, 4 or 8 people. West gite sleeps 4 and the East Gite sleeps 4. Together they make one Gite sleeping 8.
​
An independant studio with kitchenette (La Vivienne) sleeps 2 people.
​
2 bed & breakfast rooms both with en-suite bathrooms
(The Emily room & The Noah room) in the main house. Sleeps 4 people.

In high season only, all the rooms can be rented as one big property sleeping 14 people (subject to availability) with private use of the pool.

Pérard is within easy reach of the picturesque medieval villages of Caylus and Saint Antonin Noble Val, Villefranche-de-Rouergue and close to the wine regions of Cahors and Gaillac. Its location combines the benefits of a local community with a real sense of rural tranquillity.

I came to France to seek a slower pace of life. I live with my partner Jean-Claude, 2 little dogs and 1 cat. I grow my own vegetables and love gardening. I enjoy visiting the UK for short periods but love coming back even more. I am a people person so always make my guests feel at home.
SERVICES
The Gîtes
Rustic open-plan gîtes equipped with gas cooker or induction hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, microwave and iron. Linen and towels provided except pool towels.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
Dogs Welcome.
No cleaning charges.
Local tax of 1.15 € per adult per night is applicable.
Bed and Breakfast
Charming and cosy beamed rooms.
Very comfortable beds with 100% cotton sheets.
En-suite bathrooms.
Continental Breakfast.
Bathrobes on request.
Baby cot available.
Evening meals

The Pool
The terraced pool is entered by Roman steps, surrounded by stunning gardens and overlooked by a magnificent pigeonnier. The pool is available to gite guests.
Open from 9am - 8pm.
No glassware by the pool.
Access to pool for bed and breakfast guests is subject to availability.
Garden
​
The house sits on 4 acres of beautiful gardens which you are welcome to roam. The surrounding countryside is known for rambling and I can suggest walks to those who wish to explore.
Meals
3 course meal 30 € per head

4 people minimum
1 pot meal on arrival for gite guests is available at 17 € per head

The area is not short of outdoor activities, including canoeing, river swimming, picnic spots, walking, fishing and horse riding.

Culture
​
The region is rich in history and there are many museums, galleries and historical sites to visit. Pérard is within easy reach of the medieval towns of Cordes sur Ciel, St Cirq Lapopie, Bruniquel, Najac,
St Antonin Noble Val and Albi to name a few.
Markets
Farmer's markets run everyday at various surrounding towns and are a perfect opportunity to soak up the local lifestyle.
Wineries
​
Pérard is located close to the wine regions of Cahors and Gaillac. Tours can be arranged with the local tourist office.
Shopping
There are great towns for shopping like Montauban and Cahors. Or if antiques are more your thing there are many brocante's within the local area.

We have just enjoyed a delightful weeks stay at Perard with our toddler. There are no roads near by and the garden outside the gite meant he could play freely as we sat on the terrace enjoying the views and the bird song. The swimming pool is gated and alarmed which was reassuring. The area around the cottage is beautiful and peaceful. Walks and bike rides can be done straight from the door. There is so much wildlife in the forrested valleys near by, as well as secluded churches and crumbling castles. Fazanna and Jean-Claude were delightful hosts, friendly and welcoming. Their little dogs made my sons holiday.

The place to stay when in the Cahors-St. Antonin region. Farzana's cheery and welcoming personality makes you feel right at home. We stayed in one half of her farm house gite for 5 nights. Charming, fully-equipped, clean and very comfortable. Peaceful grounds and full of flowers. Good central location and easy drive to several of the most beautiful villages of this region. Would have loved to stick around longer just to attend Farzana's famous " curry " nights of which she is locally known for. Maybe next time... We'll definitely be back.
